Staff Profile:

Courtney graduated with her B.S. in Entomology and an additional major in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2013. While at MSU she has coordinated the field testing of a new ingestible mosquito repellent, worked on the A.J. Cook Arthropod Research Collection, and served as Vice President of the Future Forensic Scientists of MSU. Currently she is researching interactions between necrophagous flies and microbial communities associated with carrion decomposition with potential applications in the forensic sciences. She also enjoys educating the public about entomology by serving as a tour guide in the MSU Bug House.
